Just Say No

I wouldn't necessarily call my personal style “trendy”, but I do at least try to stay aware of the current trends. Unfortunately, Mom jeans are trying to make a come back from the '90's under the newer, hip name of “chic high waisted jeans”. My question to you is f they didn't looked horrible then, what makes people think they'll look good now? I cannot express enough how deep my loathing for high waisted jeans runs. They're not groovy, or retro-- they are unflattering, frumpy, and need to be left in 1992 where they belong.

I think the following pictures speak for themselves. In fact, I don't even need to mention how it seems you could sink the Titanic with all the water it looks like Jess and Mischa are retaining. I don't need to point out how Rihanna and Scar Jo's hips are reminiscent of the moon bounce from my nephew's 5th birthday party. Or even the fact that just looking at these pictures gives me the strangest craving for veggie sausage.

A Dose of Natural Romance

When I first stepped into a Wet Seal I thought it was one of the greatest stores in existence. It had a real classic meets bohemian feeling and I knew I could always find a good deal.

You can imagine my dismay when a Wet Seal finally opened in San Angelo and it seriously looked like an outlet store for twirler uniforms.
Don't get me wrong... a little sparkle here and there is fun and flirty, but this is outrageous! Not to mention a little cheap looking. Maybe if you wore for a costume or on Halloween, but otherwise moderation people.

So enough ranting, there is good news. Wet Seal it seems, is returning back to it's roots and has some very pretty spring dresses.

On to my latest purchase:

Priced at only $16.50 this dress is feminine and romantic, it's perfect to dress up or down with accessories and is a great addition for any spring wardrobe!

V-Day Bargins!

I think I might start celebrating holidays a couple of days after they have ended because you can find some really fabulous deals! Last week Target had their Valentine's Day merchandise 90% off. Ooh boy, I made out like a cocoa-crazy bandit!

Choxie, the chocolate candy made exclusively by and for Target is full of so many different types and flavors that are all really fun and interesting. It is undoubtedly among my favorite chocolate along with the Whitman's Sample and See's Candy.

The discounted Valentine's chocolate were going for between .50 and .70 cents a box and I seriously went back in to the store to get more boxes after I saw the receipt. I also got a pair of of argyle heart tights for only .50 cents !

How exciting!

So, my very first post... woo-hoo! Okay, enough of that. Let's get down to business. I've decided to create this blog not as a journal for precious memories but as sort of a peek into what things currently rocking my world. Whether it be a really great movie I've recently seen, a cool new product, or maybe an amazing sale at one of my favorite stores, I want to share it with everyone and tell you all about it! I got my inspiration from Mindy Ephron's (Kelly from The Office) blog that I stumbled across a couple months ago, and I thought I'd give it a go. There's so much I want to post already. Happy reading!
